Adam Schneider, DDS

Dr. Adam Schneider earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, where he earned the Student Leadership Achievement Award. He completed a geriatrics clerkship at the VA Hospital and a dental mission to Vietnam during his senior year. Dr. Adam joined his father Dr. Bill at Schneider Family Dentistry, extending it to a third generation of Schneider dentists.

Dr. Adam is passionate about dental excellence and stays abreast of current research and new technologies. He studies new technologies and continues to invest in proven state-of-the-art technology, materials and instruments. SFD was the first dental practice to employ laser dentistry in Montgomery County, Maryland, and was also an early adopter of CAD/CAM dentistry. He regularly expands his skills through advanced training, including extensive training at the prestigious Nash and Dawson Institutes, at the Pankey Institute and at the Spear Institutes, where he honed his clinical skills in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry as well as occlusion. He is a certified Invisalign® clear aligner provider and has been a sleep dentistry provider for over twenty years, using unique equipment to fine tune sleep appliances.

As a young dentist, Dr. Adam was awarded fellowship in the American College of Dentists and The American Academy of Dental Practice Administration in 2005. While President of the ACD DC Metro chapter, he started a mentoring program and founded an ACD student chapter that is still growing today. Dr. Adam is very active in the local and state dental community. He served for many years as Chairman of the Maryland State Dental Association Committee on New Dentist and was awarded the Leadership Award in 2003. He served on the executive board of the Southern Maryland Dental Society for more than 10 years and was elected President in 2009. In addition, he served as scientific chairman for the Maryland State Dental Association annual meeting for more than 13 years and then as General Chairman of the annual meeting for five years. Dr. Adam participates annually in the MSDA Donated Dental program by donating dental care to participants.

For more than fifteen years running, he has been chosen by his colleagues as a Washingtonian Magazine TOP DENTIST. He has also been selected by the community as a Bethesda Magazine TOP DENTIST and as a leading Consumer Checkbook dentist for many years.

Dr. Adam is proud that his daughter Caroline plans to join him in the family practice as the fourth generation of Schneider dentists.

Katie Staub, DDS

Dr. Katie Staub is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School, graduating second in her class. She was selected as a Diamond Scholar during her senior year and then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, where she was elected Chief Resident. Dr. Katie has advanced training from the Pankey Institute, where she studied functional occlusion and mechanics and treatment planning. She has also focused her continuing education in sleep dentistry and is Invisalign clear aligner certified.

Dr. Katie is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, Gorgas Odontological Honor Society and Gamma Pi Delta Honor Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association®, Maryland State Dental Association and Howard County Dental Association. She was chosen by her colleagues as a Washingtonian Magazine TOP DENTIST.

Dr. Katie enjoys giving back to the community.

Dr. Katie attended the Pennsylvania State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics. Prior to attending dental school, she worked as an actuarial analyst for 10 years. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, reading and listening to music.

Ekpa Eyoma, DDS

Dr. Ekpa Eyoma was born and raised in West Africa, Nigeria. She is a general dentist as well as a CDC-trained and certified dental public health specialist. Dr. Eyoma earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Maryland, College Park and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She then earned a certificate in the general practice of dentistry from Harlem Hospital, New York and a Masters of Public Health from Columbia University. Dr. Eyoma is passionate about bringing dentistry to underserved populations and has participated in dental mission trips locally and globally. Dr. Eyoma strives to ensure all patients attain optimal oral health. Dr. Eyoma also serves as a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland Dental School.
