Dr. Adam Schneider

Dr. Adam Schneider graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore with a leadership award, completing a geriatrics clerkship at the VA Hospital and a mission to Vietnam during his senior year. Soon after graduation, he joined his father Dr. Bill in Gaithersburg and the two proceeded to grow the practice.

Dr. Adam was awarded fellowship in the American College of Dentists (as one of the youngest members ever), The American Academy of Dental Practice Administration (again, the youngest to join), and was awarded the annual leadership award for 2003 by state dentists. He has completed advanced training at the prestigious Dawson Institute and at the Nash Institutes where he has honed his clinical skills in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. His wife Karen has blessed him with two lovely daughters, Caroline and Kate,and a handsome son Will.  For over ten years running, he has been chosen by his peers and the community as a TOP DENTIST and is featured in Washingtonian Magazine and Consumer Checkbook Magazine.  For 12 years, he served as the scientific chairman for the state meeting and is currently the General Chairman of the annual meeting and past president of the Southern Maryland dental society.

Dr. Katie Staub

Dentist in Gaithersburg, MD

Dr. Katie Staub is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School, graduating second in her class.  She was selected as a Diamond Scholar during her senior year and then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, where she was elected Chief Resident. Katie has trained at the Pankey Institute, studying functional occlusion and mechanics and treatment planning. She has also focused her continuing education on sleep dentistry and is Invisalign certified.

Katie is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, Gorgas Odontological Honor Society, and Gamma Pi Delta Honor Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and Howard County Dental Association.

Katie grew up near York, Pennsylvania and attended the Pennsylvania State University, graduating with a BS in mathematics.  Prior to attending dental school, she worked as an actuarial analyst for 10 years. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and listening to music.

Dr. Mary Alexander

Periodontist in Gaithersburg, MD

Dr. Mary Alexander, periodontist, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina and continued her education in dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dental Surgery where she received her DDS degree. Prior to and during her dental studies, Dr. Alexander received funding and support from the National Institutes of Dental Research for her involvement in the periodontal research.

After obtaining her DDS degree Dr. Alexander spent one year at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, in general practice residency focusing her training in the area of anxiety patient management. She then attended Harvard University and earned her clinical specialty in periodontics and a doctorate in medical science. Her doctoral research was focused in the study of bone function and metabolic disease of the bone.

Dr. Alexander received extensive training in dental implantology, periodontal plastic surgery, bone regenerative procedures and sedation dentistry. All aspects of Dr. Alexander’s training are incorporated in her periodontal practice assuring patients’ thorough and comprehensive periodontal treatment.
